I’m glad that the selection went smoothly and today, the first Sunday of Lent, we have installed the Most Revd Sam Enosa Peni as the second Internal Archbishop for Western Equatoria Internal Province. It is something we thank God for, that the Lord has done this as we enter the period of Lent.
I want to thank all the people of Western Equatoria Internal Province for the way they did the election with love, it went smoothly, this is the example that we should emulate to unify ourselves and demonstrate maturity in all we do.”

On the same note I congratulate the Archbishop of the Internal Province who has just been enthroned, Most Revd Peni for this wonderful day. Thank the church especially for the relationship we have with the church as government, to thank them for how we work together government and church in this area.”

“Thank those who have given me this responsibility to become the second Internal Archbishop for Western Equatoria Internal Province and the fourth Bishop of Yambio. I am humbled because of the gift that God has put in the hearts of the people of the Internal Province to elect me to this position and I call upon God to help me that I will be able to do his will, that I will be able to take the lead so that I can to do what he wants. I can do what He wants. As this is the time of Lent I call upon us to reflect, examine ourselves, our relationship with our God and each relationship with other.”
